2018 UNGA 73 Resolution on the situation of human rights in the Islamic Republic of Iran
Resolution adopted by the General Assembly on the situation of human rights in the Islamic Republic of Iran on December 17, 2018. The resolution was passed in the third committee during seventy-second session of the General Assembly in December 2018 by a vote of 84 in favor, 30 against, with 67 abstentions.

UN Top Rights Body Votes to Extend the Mandate of the Special Rapporteur on Iran
The UN Human Rights Council adopted today a resolution renewing the mandate of the UN Special Rapporteur on human rights in Iran. A majority of 21 states voted in favor of an extension of the mandate , which was opposed by only 7 member states , while 19 states abstained .
