Sustainable Development Goals

On September 25, 2015, member states adopted 17 goals to end poverty, protect the planet, and ensure prosperity for all as part of a new sustainable development agenda, which calls on government, the private sector, and civil society to each do their part to reach these goals by 2030.

The 17 Goals

The Islamic Republic of Iran has been actively engaged in shaping the post-2015 development agenda, and volunteered to present its progress towards realizing the SDGs at the Volunteer National Review (VNR) during the second annual High-level Political Forum in July 2017.
